When The River Landing Shops and Residences open early in 2020 it will bring shopping, entertainment, and living together as part of an 8 acre mixed-use development. Breaking ground in March of 2017, the $424.8 million project is currently under construction and promises to breathe new life into a somewhat underdeveloped area of the Miami River.
The project will feature two towers, reaching 23 and 25 stories, with 528 state of the art luxury apartments, indoor and outdoor fitness areas, 2,000 parking spaces, a linear park, and many other amenities not yet announced. The project also boasts that it will have over 25,000 square foot of riverfront dining and shops that feature restaurants ranging from fine dining to fast casual, with beautiful views of the Miami River.
Developers of the project have recently announced that they have redesigned part of the project to add two more floors to a third building, increasing it’s height to 7 floors of retail and office space. Occupying the top 3 floors, the offices will feature their own outdoor terrace, views of the river and skyline, and have private elevators. This will add much needed office space to the already thriving “health district”. Retail tenants TJ Maxx, Ross Dress for Less, Publix, Burlington Stores, Chase Bank, GNC, AT&T, and Hobby Lobby have already signed on to be part of the 315,000 square feet of retail space that will occupy the other four floors.
While developers have yet to release all the details of the project and it’s amenities; they hope to attract individuals who enjoy being social that will enjoy, living, working and playing all in the same community. With access via highway, water, and mass transit, it promises to be a popular addition to the Miami River banks when it opens next year.
